Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bainbridge). They came out on top against the Dougherty Trojans by a score of 45-33 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bearcats as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Bainbridge found their leader in sophomore Ja'Veen Breedlove, who rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Breedlove showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards. Brooks Hines was another key player, throwing for 125 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.

Bainbridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 314 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bainbridge's defensive line and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Graham Beckham and Amarion Donaldson, who racked up five sacks between them. Donaldson is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last seven games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Dougherty lost, don't look at David Burgess. Despite the final result, he threw for 377 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Antwan Lockett also helped out as he racked up 131 receiving yards.

Bainbridge's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9. As for Dougherty, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Bainbridge nor Dougherty have any future games scheduled.
