Recap: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Lincoln Lynx
The Lincoln Railsplitters's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 12th straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 65-39 defeat at the hands of the Lynx. While losing is never fun, the Railsplitters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Lynx are ranked 138th).
The Lynx found their leader in underclassman Addie Naughton, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hutson Rau, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
The Railsplitters dropped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for the Lynx, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.
The Railsplitters does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for the Lynx, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
