Volleyball Recap: Reagan Bison vs. Mourning Sharks
Reagan had lost seven straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 3-14 to make it eight. They fell just short of the Mourning Sharks by a score of 3-2. The Bison were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Sabrina Bou paced Reagan's offense, picking up ten kills. Bou got some help from Ivanna Carrillo and her 11 assists. Renata Osma controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
As for Mourning, they moved to 5-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 9th.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mourning to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mila Besharat, who had 46 digs and one assist. Besharat is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sadie Dunham, who had ten digs and eight aces.
Reagan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against American on the 30th. As for Mourning, they will take on TERRA Environmental at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
