Football Recap: Hoquiam's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Columbia last Friday, Hoquiam came back down to earth. The Grizzlies came up short against the King's Way Christian Knights on Friday, falling 57-35. If the Grizzlies were looking for revenge after losing 49-13 to the Knights when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Owen Paulsen was nothing short of spectacular for King's Way Christian: he threw for 296 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 44 yards and one score. Those 44 rushing yards gave Paulsen a new career-high. Colin Hermes was Paulsen's top target, picking up 15 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 39 yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hoquiam fell to 1-1-1. As for King's Way Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Hoquiam will square off against Raymond/South Bend at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for King's Way Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kalama at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
