Softball Game Preview: Elkton Elks vs. Powers Cruisers

The Elkton Elks will square off against the Powers Cruisers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Elkton is looking for their season's first win.

Elkton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Oakridge by a score of 14-13 on Friday. While the Elks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 7-0 in the first period.

Celena Galeano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Amira Harper, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, Powers was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against Toledo, falling 12-2.

Elkton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Powers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
