Recap: Harrison Central Red Rebels vs. D'Iberville Warriors
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ocean Springs, The Harrison Central Red Rebels were happy to have found some success on Friday. They skirted past D'Iberville 46-43. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Harrison Central was led to victory by Tyree Barnett and Tri Gaughf. Barnett picked up 90 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Gaughf threw for 274 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Rogers ii, who rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Crosby, who rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
Harrison Central's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for D'Iberville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrison Central will square off against Biloxi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for D'Iberville, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Martin comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
