Basketball Recap: Winamac Beats West Central for Their Third Straight Victory

Winamac waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 34-27 victory over the West Central Trojans. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 54-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Marissa Iverson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kandace Kroft, who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Winamac smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Winamac's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for West Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
