Basketball Game Preview: York Cougars vs. Camden Bulldogs

The York Cougars will face off against the Camden Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. York is looking for their season's first win.

On Wednesday, York had to suffer through a 73-27 loss at the hands of Lancaster. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Bruins are ranked 93rd).

Trinity Collegiate typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Camden proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 47-38. The 47-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Camden is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for York, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

York was dealt a bruising 68-22 loss at the hands of Camden in their previous meeting back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point York was down 40-11.
