Basketball Game Preview: Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders vs. Eastlake Titans

The Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders will venture away from home to face off against the Eastlake Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mater Dei Catholic has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 21.

Last Friday, Mater Dei Catholic came up short against Victory Christian Academy and fell 63-50. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Knights are ranked 176th).

Meanwhile, Eastlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Olympian and fell 66-38.

Eastlake's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.

Mater Dei Catholic came up short against Eastlake in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 66-60. Can Mater Dei Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
