Softball Recap: Rice Memorial Beats Enosburg Falls for Their Third Straight Victory

Rice Memorial hadn't done well against Enosburg Falls recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Green Knights walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Hornets. The win was familiar territory for the Green Knights, who have now won three games in a row.

Alayna Havreluk made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ella Tatro, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Bella Messineo was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Rice Memorial's record is now 11-2. As for Enosburg Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
