Basketball Recap: Comstock Takes a Loss

If Comstock was riding high fresh off their 94-15 takedown of Leakey last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comstock Panthers fell 54-43 to the Ira Bulldogs on Friday.

Despite the loss, Comstock still got an impressive performance from Creed Hardin, who went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points. Hardin is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Edgar Crane, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Comstock's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Ira, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Eldorado the next time they take the court. Comstock will head out to face Eldorado at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while Ira will play them later in the day, at 11:20 a.m.
