Hermon has gone 9-1 against Caribou recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hawks will face off against the Vikings at 1:00 p.m. Hermon's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Caribou's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Hermon came out on top against Old Town on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Hawks had just enough and edged out the Coyotes 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Hermon let Sam Hopkins and Cam Morrison run wild. Hopkins went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI, while Morrison got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That RBI marked the first that Hopkins has brought in this season. Brayden Ladd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caribou). They blew past Houlton 16-0 on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Shiretowners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Caribou's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Hermon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Hermon beat Caribou 8-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
