Basketball Recap: Robertsdale Takes a Loss

Robertsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 62-46 to the Daphne Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Trojans are ranked 75th).

Despite the loss, Robertsdale still got an impressive performance from Koehn Turner, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Turner a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Demetrius Prim, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Robertsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Daphne, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Robertsdale will venture away from home to challenge Foley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Daphne, they will square off against Fairhope at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Daphne's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
