Softball Recap: Edison Has No Trouble Against Mcnair

Edison won the last time they faced McNair and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 19-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Angeleya Miranda was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Leila Tatupu, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Edison has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for McNair, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will square off against Weston Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.08 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for McNair, they will face off against Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
