Football Recap: San Dimas Saints vs. Westminster Lions

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but San Dimas had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They managed a 19-13 win over the Westminster Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

San Dimas got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Audrey Schlim out in front who threw for 166 yards and three touchdowns. Faith Kearns did her part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 98 receiving yards.

San Dimas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ashley Sandmark and Leiani Jaime.

San Dimas' win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Westminster, their defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-4.

San Dimas will take on Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Highland will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something San Dimas surely won't give up without a fight. Westminster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
