Volleyball Recap: Franklinton Wins Going Away Against Vance County

Franklinton's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Vance County Vipers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Franklinton was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-6, 25-9.

Adalyn Smith had a dynamite game, getting 11 assists and nine aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August. Delaney Boylan was another key player, getting five aces and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: Franklinton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Franklinton's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-5. As for Vance County, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the loss, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Franklinton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Knightdale on the 7th. As for Vance County, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Wake Forest on the 7th.
