Basketball Recap: Kenyon-Wanamingo Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cannon Falls, Kenyon-Wanamingo was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 71-66 victory over the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Kenyon-Wanamingo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Kenyon-Wanamingo will look to defend their home court on Monday against LeRoy-Ostrander at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Kenyon-Wanamingo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches. As for New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva, they will take on Waterville-Elysian-Morristown at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
