Baseball Game Preview: McClintock Chargers vs. Carl Hayden Community Falcons

McClintock is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Carl Hayden Community Falcons at 4:00 p.m. McClintock has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

McClintock is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 26th on Wednesday. They came up short against ALA - Queen Creek, falling 16-2.

McClintock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maurice Boone, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

While Carl Hayden Community didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Camelback with a sharp 15-0 victory last Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their one-run performance the game before.

McClintock now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Carl Hayden Community, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything went McClintock's way against Carl Hayden Community when the teams last played back in April of 2022, as McClintock made off with a 10-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McClintock since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
