Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Academy of Fredericksburg Comes Up Short

Lighthouse Academy of Fredericksburg had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a hard 25-7 fall against the Bedford County CIA Agents on Saturday.

Bedford County CIA's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cassia Gorczyca led the charge by putting up ten points and six steals. The dominant performance also gave Gorczyca a new career-high in field goal percentage (44%). Madison Cotchen was another key player, posting eight points and eight boards.

The victory got Bedford County CIA back to even at 10-10.

Lighthouse Academy of Fredericksburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bedford County CIA, they will take on Champion Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bedford County CIA's defense has only allowed 28.4 points per game this season, so Champion Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
