Softball Recap: Clarksburg Takes a Loss

If Clarksburg was riding high fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Middleton last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rockets came up short against the Halls Tigers on Tuesday, falling 20-10. Even though they lost, the Rockets' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Libby Autry was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Alyssa Belew was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Clarksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Halls, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarksburg will challenge Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Halls, they will square off against Bradford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
