Baseball Game Preview: St. George's Gryphons vs. Evangelical Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, St. George will face off against Evangelical Christian. St. George's will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Evangelical Christian at 5:00 p.m.

While St. George's victory against Evangelical Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. St. George's came out on top in a nail-biter against Evangelical Christian on Monday, sneaking past 6-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Gryphons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

For Evangelical Christian's part, Kyle Mabie was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Bryce Terry was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Evangelical Christian and nudges their season record down to 7-4. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for St. George's, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
