Volleyball Recap: Laney Gets the Win

If West Brunswick wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Laney, they should've done a better job of containing Natalie Dickerson. The Buccaneers put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday with plenty of help from Dickerson, who had 19 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Laney not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept West Brunswick between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-18.

Laney's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for West Brunswick, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laney will head out to square off against Ashley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Brunswick, they will venture away from home to face off against South Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
