Volleyball Recap: Menomonee Falls Falls Short Against Ranked Cedarburg

Menomonee Falls faced Cedarburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Phoenix took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Phoenix of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Kaylee Harder paced Menomonee Falls' offense, picking up 12 kills. Harder got some help from Quinn Ische and her 15 assists.

Menomonee Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Cedarburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Menomonee Falls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Franklin on the 26th. As for Cedarburg, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Waukesha West on the 26th.
