Recap: Oroville Tigers vs. Corning Cardinals
The Oroville Tigers lost against the Corning Cardinals back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Oroville took a 52-35 bruising from Corning. Oroville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Oroville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Broussard, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds, and Aaryan Patel who scored five points. Broussard continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Oroville bumped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Corning, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
Oroville will be playing at home against Gridley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gridley is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. As for Corning, they will head out on the road to face off against Las Plumas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
