Basketball Recap: Haleyville Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Haleyville was the 64-43 winner over Belgreen when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Haleyville Lions took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belgreen Bulldogs on Friday.

Haleyville's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10. As for Belgreen, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Haleyville Lions duke it out with the Fayette County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Fayette County's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Haleyville has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Belgreen, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Belmont at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Belgreen is facing Belmont at the right time seeing as Belmont is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
