Football Game Preview: Pinecrest Patriots vs. Chambers Cougars + How To Watch

The Pinecrest Patriots will take on the Chambers Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinecrest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 29.8 points per game this season.

Pinecrest came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 58-27 defeat at the hands of Richmond Senior. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Pinecrest might have lost, but man, Chris Najm was a machine: he rushed for 116 yards and two scores. Najm's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 116 rushing yards. Najee Gillis was another key player, throwing for 172 yards and a pair of TDs.

Pinecrest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Rollins Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, Chambers played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Mallard Creek, falling 31-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Mavericks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Pinecrest's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Chambers, their record is now 4-6.
