Basketball Recap: Fairfax HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Fairfax HomeSchool suffered their closest defeat since January 4, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Christian Educational Consortium Cougars by a score of 50-47. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 81-76 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Christian Educational Consortium's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hunter Fleming led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Caleb Moore was another key player, shooting 45% from the field to rack up 15 points.

Fairfax HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Christian Educational Consortium, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-14.

Fairfax HomeSchool and Christian Educational Consortium should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. Fairfax HomeSchool (ranked 156th) will meet South Charlotte (ranked 450th) at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Christian Educational Consortium will challenge Heritage Christian Athletics at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 869 places (143 vs. 1012).
