Basketball Recap: Community Christian Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Community Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Stephenville FAITH Knights at home by a 43-29 margin on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 44-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Charlsey Cole was her usual excellent self, going 6 for 14 on her way to 14 points for Stephenville FAITH. Bailey Necessary was another key player, putting up six points and nine rebounds.

The win was the third in a row for Stephenville FAITH, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Community Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fellowship Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Stephenville FAITH, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-42 defeat against Dublin on the 7th.
