Watkins Memorial barely beat Lakewood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Watkins Memorial was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-15.

Morgan Cumbo paced Watkins Memorial's offense, picking up ten kills. Cumbo got some help from Ellah Bigham and her 24 assists. Sofia Zamora controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Watkins Memorial now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lakewood, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Watkins Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Bishop Hartley on the 30th.
