Meanwhile, Poston Butte was able to grind out a solid victory over Arcadia on Wednesday, taking the game 11-8. That's two games straight that the Broncos have won by exactly three runs.
The team relied heavily on Jasmine Barrera, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Brylee Litviak was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Paradise Honors has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Poston Butte, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Paradise Honors has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Poston Butte struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.7 strikeouts.
