Softball Recap: River View Takes a Loss

River View came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-6 to the Mount View Golden Knights. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lilly Perkins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Kennedy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

River View moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Mount View, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Golden Knights beat River View by a score of 13-6 later that day.
