Basketball Recap: Roane County Comes Up Short

Roane County suffered their biggest defeat since November 25, 2025 on Friday. They took a blow against the McMinn Central Chargers, falling 70-40. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-54 back in January.

Roane County's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for McMinn Central, they pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Roane County will challenge Meigs County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McMinn Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Coalfield at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
