Soccer Game Preview: Austin vs. Canutillo

The Austin Panthers will head out to take on the Canutillo Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Austin's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Austin's offense. They came up short against Burbank on Friday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canutillo). They never let Andrews onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Canutillo's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Austin beat Canutillo by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2020, winning 2-1. Will Austin repeat their success, or does Canutillo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
