Baseball Recap: Enumclaw Wins Going Away Against Beamer

Enumclaw won the last time they faced Beamer and things went their way on Monday too. The Hornets blew past the Titans 16-1. With that win, the Hornets brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Oliver Potts looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Enumclaw got a massive performance out of Graham Wagner, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Wagner has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Murphy, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Enumclaw always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Enumclaw and bumps their season record up to 14-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Beamer, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Coming up, Enumclaw will square off against Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 2, the Bears 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Beamer, they will challenge Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
