The Lehi Pioneers will square off against the Mountain Ridge Sentinels at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Lehi is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
On Thursday, Lehi was able to grind out a solid win over American Fork, taking the game 7-2.
Addi Felix spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mya Maughan was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Sophie Bliss was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Lehi hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge faced Bingham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Sentinels fell just short of the Miners by a score of 10-8. The loss continues a trend for the Sentinels in their meetings with the Miners: they've now lost nine in a row.
Tatyana Toala was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Mountain Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 19-3. As for Lehi, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lehi hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. However, it's not like Mountain Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .401. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lehi was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain Ridge in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-2. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Sentinels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
