Baseball Recap: Big Bear Comes Up Short

Big Bear lost against Xavier Prep back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chase Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Big Bear now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Xavier Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Coming up, Big Bear will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Excelsior Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Xavier Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-0 loss against Shadow Hills on the 4th.
