Soccer Recap: Mortimer Jordan Comes Up Short

Mortimer Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bessemer City Tigers. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Blue Devils couldn't quite close it out.

Brooks Redo and Drake Ballard scored both of Mortimer Jordan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Mortimer Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bessemer City, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Mortimer Jordan is taking a road trip to take on Hueytown at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th. As for Bessemer City, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Holt on the 18th.
