Basketball Recap: McMinn County Comes Up Short

McMinn County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bradley Central Bears. The Cherokees were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 59-58.

McMinn County's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bradley Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

McMinn County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against McCallie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bradley Central, they will venture away from home to take on Walker Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
