Baseball Game Preview: Hobart Brickies vs. Chesterton Trojans

The Hobart Brickies will take on the Chesterton Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Boone Grove hit Hobart with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Brickies took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves.

Hobart saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayme Hairston, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Donio Pimentel was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Lake Central hit Chesterton with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 10-3 to the Indians. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Hobart has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Chesterton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
