The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 30, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Kenosha Tremper saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Juga, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Juga's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Oak Creek entered their tilt with Whitnall on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Falcons. Considering the Knights have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Aly Skrobis made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Skrobis was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Kennedy Christopher was a standout: she fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Rita Sippy, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases and three runs.
Oak Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Oak Creek's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Kenosha Tremper, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
