Soccer Game Preview: Hayward vs. St. Croix Falls

The Hayward Hurricanes will take on the St. Croix Falls Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hayward's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hayward's offense. They fell just short of Spooner by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, St. Croix Falls was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Cumberland could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Hayward's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1-2 and their overall record down to 3-6-3. St. Croix Falls' draw makes their record 0-5-1 this season.

Hayward came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Croix Falls when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
