Baseball Recap: Hugoton Comes Up Short

Hugoton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 8-2 to the Elkhart Wildcats. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Hugoton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylan Hill, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Hugoton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Elkhart, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hugoton will take on Goodland at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkhart, they will venture away from home to face off against Sublette at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
