Tug Valley came into Saturday's match looking for another win against Phelps, but Tyler Weddington wouldn't allow it. The Phelps Hornets had just enough and edged the Tug Valley Panthers out 59-57 thanks in part to Weddington, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 boards. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least ten points.

The win made it two in a row for Phelps and bumps their season record up to 5-4. As for Tug Valley, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phelps will head out to challenge Prestonsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tug Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Tucker County at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
