New Bern Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over Gramercy Christian. New Bern Christian Academy has beaten Gramercy Christian the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Gramercy Christian has come to flipping the script.

Preston Ryan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ryan was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. New Bern Christian Academy is undefeated when Ryan posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.
In other batting news, New Bern Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Tyler Willis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Willis a new career-high. Carter Mann was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI.

Like New Bern Christian Academy, Faith Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Andrew Pittman. Throwing, Pittman tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Jessie Carrillo struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pittman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Pittman went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs, while Carrillo got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Pittman also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maxton Herring, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was David Langley, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
New Bern Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Faith Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
