Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ethan Bates and Brady Barnaby Lead Seacrest Country Day to Victory

Seacrest Country Day lost to Imagine School at North Port back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays walked away with a 54-47 victory over the Imagine School at North Port Sharks.

Leading Seacrest Country Day to victory were Brady Barnaby and Ethan Bates. Barnaby went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Bates went 7 for 13 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds. The contest was Bates' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Leon, who posted nine points and five boards.

Imagine School at North Port lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Wesley Woods, who had eight points in addition to six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Zahmir Jackson, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points and five boards.

Seacrest Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Imagine School at North Port, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Seacrest Country Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-39 defeat against First Baptist Academy on the 17th. As for Imagine School at North Port, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-38 win against Babcock on the 17th.
