Basketball Game Preview: Limon Badgers vs. Denver Christian Thunder

The Limon Badgers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Denver Christian Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Limon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

On Friday, Limon took their contest with ease, bagging a 64-17 victory over Flagler. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Denver Christian was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 50-49 to Byers. While the Thunder didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 10-4 in the first quarter.

Limon will need focus on slowing down Ryan Wind, one of several Denver Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Wind is now averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Walker Politte, who posted nine points and five steals.

Even though they lost, Denver Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Denver Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Limon, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Limon came up short against Denver Christian in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, falling 41-37. Can Limon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
