Softball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-3 to the S & S Consolidated Rams. The Tigers have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Blue Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenzie Baker, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Blue Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for S & S Consolidated, the win keeps they at an undefeated 16-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Blue Ridge is set to take on their familiar foe Leonard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, S & S Consolidated will challenge rival Gunter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams are on an 18-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Tigers a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
