Basketball Recap: Dora Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Dora won the last time they faced Curry and things went their way on Saturday too. The Dora Bulldogs came out on top against the Curry Yellowjackets by a score of 52-39. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bella Reese led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Reese is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Ja'Laya Harris was another key player, putting up 15 points and five boards.

Dora's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Curry, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Dora nor Curry have any future games scheduled.
