Soccer Recap: Make It Six in a Row for LAMP

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask LAMP). Everything went their way against the Andalusia Bulldogs on Tuesday as the LAMP Golden Tigers made off with a 9-2 win. That's two games straight that the Golden Tigers have won by exactly seven goals.

Their offense was hitting Andalusia from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Cameron Schlussel led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those six contests. As for Andalusia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, LAMP will venture away from home to challenge Trinity Presbyterian at 7:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Andalusia, they will host Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Andalusia has given up an average of 6.1 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
