Baseball Recap: STEAM Academy at Mccluer South Berkeley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Jennings

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley). They were the clear victors by a 23-2 margin over the Jennings Warriors on Thursday. The Bulldogs have beaten the Warriors the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Mustafa Taylor and Reggie Gully did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI, while Gully went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Gully has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Namari McKinnie, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
